What 'tested' actually means at Stellar.
Every supplement company says 'third-party tested.' Few publish the lab, the assay set, or the certificate. Quality at Stellar means a documented chain from formula to lot, with each link inspectable.
FOUR ASSAYS ON EVERY LOT
What gets tested before a batch is released.
The minimum verification set. Additional assays are added per ingredient where the literature supports them.
01 · HEAVY METALS
Heavy metal panel.
Arsenic, lead, mercury, cadmium — analyzed against published safety thresholds. Out-of-spec lots are held.
02 · MICROBIAL
Microbial screen.
Total aerobic count, yeast/mold, coliforms, E. coli, salmonella. Each lot is screened before release.
03 · IDENTITY
Ingredient identity.
Each declared active is identity-tested — confirming the ingredient on the panel is the ingredient in the bottle.
04 · POTENCY
Active standardization.
Standardized actives are quantified against the dose on the panel. Out-of-spec potency triggers a hold.
THE PRINCIPLE
WHY VERIFICATION IS OUTSIDE THE BRAND
The testing layer is operationally separate from Stellar — that's where verification actually lives.
The ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory that issues every Stellar certificate of analysis is a third party. It is not Stellar Health Labs, not Clinical Index, not any related entity.
That's by design. A brand cannot verify itself. The lab issues the certificate, Clinical Index audits it against the methodology, and Stellar can only release a lot once both pass. No single entity can short-circuit the chain.
Every customer can request the COA for any unit they receive — referenced by lot number on the bottle.
CERTIFICATION POLICY
Marks are real or they're not used.
Stellar uses only certifications backed by active, on-file authorization with the issuing body. Marketing-only certification language does not appear on Stellar packaging or pages.
01 · NSF CONTENTS CERTIFIED
NSF International.
NSF verifies the contents of the product match the label. Used only when an active authorization is on file. The mark is removed if authorization lapses.
02 · USP VERIFIED
United States Pharmacopeia.
USP verification program. Used selectively where the ingredient profile supports it and authorization is active.
COA LIBRARY
Per-batch certificates of analysis.
Searchable by SKU and lot number. Each batch's COA is published as a PDF. The lab partner's name and accreditation are documented per entry.
