About Methylene Blue
Methylene blue (methylthioninium chloride) is a synthetic phenothiazinium salt first described in the 19th century. It is the active in a number of historical and current medical applications and has been the subject of active published research across multiple disciplines.

How to Use
Sublingual route (most common): place 1 mL (~20 drops) under the tongue and hold for 30–60 seconds, then swallow. Take once daily, with or without food.
Titration: first-time users may begin with 5 drops (2.5 mg) and increase gradually over several days to assess tolerability before reaching a 1 mL serving.
Expect blue discoloration of the tongue, mouth, urine, and stool. These are cosmetic and resolve as the compound is excreted.
Storage: store at room temperature, away from direct light. Re-cap tightly after each use.
Hard contraindications (do NOT use): any SSRI, SNRI, MAOI, tricyclic antidepressant, lithium, or other serotonergic medication; pregnancy or nursing; G6PD deficiency; severe kidney impairment; under 18. See the safety block in the product description above for the full list and rationale.

Composition: 1% methylene blue solution (pharmaceutical grade). Each 1 mL (approximately 20 drops) delivers 10 mg of methylene blue. The 60 mL bottle contains approximately 60 servings at the 1 mL serving size.
What is in the bottle: methylene blue (USP-grade), pharmaceutical-grade purified water. No additives, no flavorings, no preservatives beyond what the active itself provides.
Important Safety Information — Hard Contraindications
Do NOT use methylene blue if you are taking any of the following:
- Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) — including fluoxetine, sertraline, paroxetine, citalopram, escitalopram, fluvoxamine, and others.
- Serotonin–Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs) — including venlafaxine, duloxetine, desvenlafaxine, and others.
- Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) — including phenelzine, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid, selegiline, and others.
- Tricyclic antidepressants, lithium, or any other serotonergic medication.
Why: methylene blue is a potent monoamine oxidase inhibitor at physiologic doses. Combination with serotonergic medications can precipitate serotonin syndrome, a potentially life-threatening condition.
Also do not use if you: are pregnant or nursing; have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency; have severe kidney impairment; are under 18 years of age. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before use under all other circumstances.
Usage (sublingual): as directed by a qualified healthcare provider. A common reference protocol is 1 mL (approximately 20 drops) placed under the tongue and held for 30–60 seconds before swallowing, taken once daily with or without food. Start with a lower dose (e.g., 5 drops) to assess tolerability before titrating upward.
Expected appearance effects: methylene blue is a deep blue dye. It will temporarily stain the tongue, teeth, gums, and mouth blue. Urine and stool will temporarily appear blue or green. These effects are cosmetic and resolve as the compound is excreted.
Storage: store at room temperature, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if safety seal is damaged or missing.
